Christian Westbrook is a senior software engineer at CoTweet (now ExactTarget), where he leads the effort to harvest and store data from Twitter, Facebook, and the broader web in near real-time.  After having experienced the delights of the healthcare industry, coding on the trading floor of a hedge fund, and developing in and around virtual worlds, Christian finally encountered Erlang in his previous role as co-founder/CTO of Brooklyn-based startup Wello Horld, fell in love with functional programming [again], and has not since been the same.
 
Christian resides with his cat, Tuples, in San Francisco, where he organizes the ErLounge SF/Bay.
